With Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and barcode technology, document information has never been easier to capture. Capture Solutions can automate the indexing process whilst boosting your productivity.
Berwicks’ Capture Strategies have several methods to read information from a document:
- Zone OCR: Is the process of converting scanned text to editable text. Software can be set up to read information from the same area or zone of a scanned document.
- Barcodes: Barcodes on a document can be read and used to store a document. Barcodes often include information like an order number.
- Integration: With ERP software, more information can be pulled from previous queries captured (either from Zone OCR or Barcodes). Eg. If order number is known, related information like customer name and address can be found in relation to that order number.
